Amazing, Relaxing, Fun, Soul Renourishment – PARADISE!

Sea Glass Place is my most favorite vacation experience to date! That’s a strong statement from a travel addict for sure. Sea Glass is SUPER convenient for a safe and easy walk to Grande Anse beach. Esther’s Bar is a must hit. The bus stop out front was great for easy trips to St. George or Grande Anse. #1 bus is the only thing you need to remember. From St. George you can go basically anywhere on safe, reliable, public transportation. It’s definitely a cool and fun local experience so ditch considering renting a car and use the bus system instead. I’m so glad I did! The apartment/bungalow had exceptional views and was perfect for swimming, snorkeling or roaming the shore for sea glass and nature trinkets. Sea Glass has a secluded beach due to the topography which is amazing! The outdoor shower was perfect. I think I showered inside twice in my 10 days there? The beach/ocean toys were super high quality too. From snorkel gear to solid kayaks to amazing floats, Sea Glass provided anything a water-minded person could dream of using. I even came home and ordered several of the exact floats (and sunshade from the deck) for use in my beach house. Sea Glass has AMAZING vegetation! Golden apples, star fruit, soursop and numerous other local and native species fill the property. Elvis gave me many ripe golden apples which were so delicious! The bungalow was perfectly appointed with comfortable beds, furniture and the kitchen items were adequately stocked. It was extremely clean too. The WiFi always worked and the tv was enjoyed by my boyfriend for a Packers game one night. Although who needs WiFi or TV in heaven? The bungalow also had plenty of information for visitors – books, maps and local travel guide pamphlets. Elvis and Jane arranged for our transportation to and from the airport and an awesome hiking day excursion with Wondering Soles. Kerry provided awesome transportation. We booked him separately for a day to drive around the island. He’s very safe, fun, knowledgeable and just cool to be around. This included a chocolate factory, Leaper’s Hill, a short hike we NEVER would’ve found without him with killer views facing Carricou, the River Antoine Rum Distillery and numerous other places. He gave us a fun tour of the island for sure! Wondering Soles took us to Annadale Falls but due to the rain the night before, they modified the rest of the waterfalls trip. Totally understandable so we went on a fun hike to a black sand beach. This was eco-tourism at its best as our guide was a trained naturalist. I loved learning about all the various species and wildlife while on the hike. We also really enjoyed one of their local friends, TC, during happy hours on the decks. He took us to an incredible party in the rainforest. What an adventure! Great people know great people! Rhady, a certified tour guide, gave us a walk tour of St. George one afternoon. He was super knowledgeable and provided tons of information on local history. We also enjoyed a fun lunch at Sail’s. After a failed attempt to get to the Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park on a solo trip – we booked a snorkel trip. This was a fun day departing St. George, hitting the sculpture park, Molinière-Beauséjour Marine Protected Area And several bays in this area. We should’ve asked Jane and Elvis to assist with booking but it was still a fun trip. Jane and Elvis were the utmost fun, pleasant and professional hosts, with the most fabulous property on earth. I SO very much enjoyed them and their property. My only regret was not being able to volunteer with them at a local school’s reading program. Again, great people give back to their community just as Jane and Elvis do! I cannot express how wonderful and life-altering my time was in Grenada, but specifically at Sea Glass Place Apartments and with Jane and Elvis. I will 100%, without a doubt, return to Grenada and book at Sea Glass Place Apartments. I cannot wait to visit again!
