My room was called Tamarind because of the Tamarind tree in front of it. Beyond the tree and looking straight down was the turquoise ocean and lovely secluded beach where I found lots of sea glass – so this place is aptly named. There was a Flamboyant room next door (for its tree), and Star Fruit next door to that (for the tree). I loved that the rooms were named after the trees. Everything inside the little apartment was useful and comfortable and I did not wish I had anything else at all. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the kitchen was a good size, and had all the pots and pans and utensils necessary for home cooking. There was a tv, which I didn’t use because of the view outside. All I wanted to do was sit on the comfortable chairs and put a glass of wine on the table provided, and look and listen to the waves. Swimming was perfect and the outside shower was a pleasant experience. The owners were in residence and easily accessible and extremely helpful and fun. Parking was easy. There is a supermarket about a quarter mile away, and a stairway to Grand Anse beach itself about a hundred yards along the road. But, I think the little beach with the Sea Glass was wonderful. The location is very convenient. It was pretty quiet at night, mostly, though some barking dogs were entertaining now and then. Air conditioning is available in the room but I only used it occasionally because of the fans. This place is a real find. I would definitely go back.
